When her softball team is cut at Will Rogers High, a Cherokee girl draws inspiration from Will Rogers and decides to play boys baseball despite sabotage from the school superintendent.

Will To Win movie producers Russ Kirkpatrick and Andy Kinslow are thrilled to welcome Midthunder Casting to the project. An established titan in the film and television industry, Angelique Midthunder, Stacey Rice and the Midthunder team have an impressive track record of collaborating with actors and directors on various film and TV projects, including Reservation Dogs (FX), American Primeval (Netflix),The Curse (A24, Paramount+) and others. Based in Los Angeles and Santa Fe, Midthunder joins Kirkpatrick and Kinslow from Tulsa, Mark Heidelberger in Hollywood, and Jhane Myers from Santa Fe.

CASTING: NEXT STEPS

While the movie is in development, Midthunder Casting will initially focus on casting two key roles. Once the movie is green-lit for production, they will then cast other pivotal roles, while also overseeing additional casting with an Oklahoma firm. Additionally, Kirkpatrick and Kinslow is now requesting actors, and others, including female high school softball players (18+), male high school baseball players (18+), and extras to contact us at willtowinmovie@kkp.film to be considered for roles in the movie.

The Will To Win movie now has a total of seven Native American team members on the project to inform the Native American storyline! In addition to Midthunder Casting, which focuses on Native American casting, the team includes Executive Producer Jhane Myers who is Comanche and Blackfeet, along with Screenwriter Aaron Fulkerson, Consultant Jennifer Rogers-Etcheverry, Executive Producer Terri Cornett, and Cherokee Consultant LeeAnn Dreadfulwater, who are all Cherokee Nation citizens. Additionally, producers are now actively looking for various directors, including Native American directors, to oversee the creative vision for the project.
