Aaron Fulkerson - Screenwriter
Aaron Fulkerson (Cherokee Nation) is a Tulsa-based screenwriter, composer, and director who helmed the movie adaptation of Will to Win from the novel of the same name by Jim Stovall.
Known for composing the Emmy-award winning documentary Boomtown: An American Journey (2015), Aaron has also composed stunning soundtracks for the feature documentary Unlikely Family (2015), short documentary Voices of History (2014), and feature narrative Bumping Off Burt (2009). As of fall 2025, Aaron has wrapped production on his directorial debut Howling Crane, a short supernatural thriller described as “the newest superhero origin story,” featuring a young Cherokee protagonist.
“Will to Win is layered with Cherokee tradition along with a modern aesthetic,” Fulkerson said. “The opportunity to bring the iconic Will Rogers to current generations in a way not seen, is an extraordinary responsibility.”
“Mr. Fulkerson possesses an impressive ability to connect story to the iconic Will Rogers, while respectfully showcasing Cherokee traditions and the Nation’s current, modern existence," said Andy Kinslow, lead producer of Will to Win.
