SKYLAR FOREST
Skylar’s grandmother’s best friend, who supports Skylar along her journey of grief and self-discovery. Sue Ann teaches Skylar what it means to be a strong Chickasaw woman.
SUE ANN TRUMBLY
The Tulsa Public Schools Board President and Tulsa mayoral candidate who never misses an opportunity to flirt with the cameras. Smooth yet calculating, he’ll prove to be a formidable adversary to Skylar.
HERBERT SCHMIDT
Skylar’s teammate who holds a romantic attraction toward her. His support, patience, and tutelage is what helps Skylar find her rhythm on the pitcher’s mound.
GEORGE THADANI
Skylar’s traditional Chickasaw grandmother, who takes Skylar in after a terrible tragedy. While trying to connect Skylar to her Native roots, she discovers that there are limits to teenage obstinance.
